Project Update - 03-05-2026

This update includes an amended upcoming travel advisory as well as construction progress and planned work for the next few weeks for the Santa Fe and Mineral Improvements project in Arapahoe County.
Amended Upcoming Travel Advisory: The planned traffic shifts and temporary realignment of both directions of traffic on Santa Fe Drive (US Highway 85) for this month have been postponed. The reason for the postponement is to minimize further impacts to the traveling public.
A notification will be sent out in advance of confirmation of the traffic shifts or any scheduled traffic impacts for the project.
Since the last update, crews have made significant progress excavating, placing road base and grading the new quad roadway extension of Platte River Parkway in the southwest quadrant of the project limits. Other work included forming and pouring the toe wall for the concrete box culvert and installing concrete pipe and inlets for the new drainage system.
Planned work on the new quad roadway over the next few weeks includes fine grading; forming and pouring concrete curb and gutter; installing median covers; and paving. Other scheduled activities include ongoing installation of storm drainage pipe and inlet structures, and excavating adjacent areas.
