New Rate Structure Slated to Be Part of Budget Adoption Process

The Littleton public works team has been working on storm sewer repairs at W. Ridge Road and S. Elati Street after a sidewalk failure and sinkholes were discovered during a panel replacement in early June — just one of many critical repairs to sewer and stormwater infrastructure around the city in recent years.

The City of Littleton is conducting a Sewer and Stormwater Rate Study to evaluate the appropriate rates for residential, multifamily, and commercial customers. Utility rate increases are necessary to ensure the city can maintain, repair, and reinvest in critical infrastructure before failures like this one occur. If approved as part of the budget adoption process later this year, the new rates would take effect in January 2027.
